NAMPA, Idaho – The Alaska Nanooks men's basketball team dropped a Great Northwest Athletic Conference road contest on Saturday night, falling 104-75 to the Northwest Nazarene Nighthawks at the Johnson Sports Center. The loss drops Alaska's overall record to 5-18 and 2-14 in conference play, while the Nighthawks improve to 18-4 on the season and 13-3 in GNAC contests.

- The Nooks shot 40.3 percent from the floor (25-for-62), 33.3 percent from outside (7-for-21) and 81.8 percent from the free throw line (18-for-22).
- Alaska outdid their opponent around the board on Saturday, posting 41 rebounds to NNU's 32. The Nooks pulled down 16 offensive and 25 defensive boards against NNU.
- Alaska also picked up 13 assists, four steals and three blocks.
- Alaska tallied 35 points from the bench, 26 points in the paint, 19 points off of second chances, 13 points off of turnovers and six points off of fast breaks.
- The Nooks were outscored by their opponent 53-39 in the first and 51-36 in the second half.
Alaska Leaders
- The Nanooks were led offensively by junior forward Michael Kluting, who connected on 6-for-14 shots from the floor and 4-for-7 from the free throw line to total a team-high 16 points.
- Kluting also picked up his second-straight double-double with 13 rebounds, pulling down five offensive and eight defensive boards.
- Redshirt-sophomore Zach Hatch posted a career-best 15 points on Thursday, shooting 5-for-10 from the field, 3-for-7 from beyond the arc and 2-for-2 from the free throw line.
- Junior guard Spencer Sweet was the only other Alaska player to register double-digit figures on Saturday, collecting 10 points.
- Senior guard Isaiah Easaw led all players on the floor in assists, registering a game-high of six.

The Alaska Nanooks men's basketball team returns to the Alaska Airlines Court for a pair of GNAC contests next week, taking on the Simon Fraser Clan on Thursday, Feb. 21 before hosting the Western Washington Vikings on Saturday, Feb. 23. Tip-off on Thursday is set for 7pm AKST, while Saturday is slated for 2pm AKST.
