Men's Basketball 3-7, 2-0 GNAC

The Alaska Nanooks men's basketball team are coming off of a 2-0 start to their GNAC schedule before the holidays. After a big win over the Western Oregon Wolves on Dec. 5, the Nanooks won a double-overtime thriller over Concordia University on Dec. 7. After the month-long hiatus, the 'Nooks return to action in Washington-state against fellow undefeated GNAC foes, Saint Martin's and Seattle Pacific. 
 
Women's Basketball 6-5, 1-1 GNAC
LAST: vs. WOU, CU (W, L) | NEXT: at SMU, SPU
The Alaska Nanooks women's basketball team split their opening GNAC games prior to the break. After defeating the Western Oregon Wolves behind a big fourth quarter comeback, the 'Nooks fell in a tough game with Concordia. This week, to open up 2020, the Nanooks will be in Lacey and Seattle with the men's team as they take on Saint Martin's and Seattle Pacific in a pair of double-headers. 
 
Hockey 10-10-0, 8-6-0-0 WCHA
LAST: at Bemidji State (L, W) | NEXT: at Minnesota State
The Alaska Nanooks hockey team is in Mankato, Minn. this week as they get ready to take on the top team in the nation. After traveling to Bemidji State on Dec. 6-7, the 'Nooks ended 2019 with their eighth-straight series split, entering the second half of the with a .500 overall record of 10-10-0 and an 8-6-0-0 WCHA record. 
 
Nordic Ski
LAST: Nordic Cup at UAA | NEXT: at U.S. National Championships
The Nordic Ski team will open up 2020 by sending six participants to the U.S. National Ski Championships in Houghton, Mich. On Dec. 7-8, the 'Nooks traveled to Fishhook, Alaska just north of Anchorage and competed in the annual Nordic Cup. The Seawolves of UAA grabbed the cup back for a third straight year, winning both the men's and women's two-day events.
