FAIRBANKS, Alaska – The Alaska Nanooks Department of Athletics and the Patty Center building will be closed for the holiday break beginning Saturday, Dec. 21 through Sunday, Jan. 5. Regular working hours for the Patty Center, the athletics department and the ticketing office will resume on Monday, Jan. 6.

The Alaska Nanooks Ticketing Office will be closed from Dec. 16 through Jan. 5, due to lack of staffing. Those interested in purchasing single-game tickets for Alaska Nanooks hockey, men's basketball or women's basketball, can do so online in the meantime.

The closure coincides with the University of Alaska Fairbanks' 2019-20 winter break. UAF's hard closure will be from Dec. 24 through Jan. 1, with additional soft closure days being observed from Dec. 18-23 and Jan. 2-3, depending on the university department. The UAF Police Department will be monitoring all UAF facilities during the winter closure, including the Patty Center.

The Patty Center building will be closed and main entrances will be locked but the Patty Pool will be open, based on hours and dates designated by the Student Recreation Center. Patrons of the pool will have to enter through the lower entrance (between the Patty Center and the Patty Ice Arena, closest to the pool) for access to the locker rooms.
