FAIRBANKS, Alaska – The Alaska Nanooks cross country running teams will have runners competing in the 2019 NCAA West Regionals this weekend at Western Oregon Univeristy. WOU will be hosting the race as runners will compete at the Ash Creek Preserve on Nov. 9.

The Nanooks men's and women's cross country running teams are coming off of a two week break following the GNAC Championships on Oct. 26. The GNAC Championships was hosted by MSUB and both the men's and women's team finished eighth.

Alaska Nanook Racers'
The Nanooks sent seven total racers to the NCAA West Region in Monmouth, Ore. this weekend, five male racers and two female racers. The women will race first, starting at 9:00 a.m. AKT and will be competing in a 6km race. Shortly after their finish, the men will start at 10:15 a.m. AKT and they will be racing in a 10km race.
