BURNABY, B.C. – The Alaska Nanooks men's basketball team dropped a Great Northwest Athletic Conference contest across the border on Saturday night, falling 88-55 at the West Gymnasium in Burnaby. The loss drops Alaska's overall record to 4-13 and 1-9 in conference play, while the Clan improves to 9-9 on the season and 3-7 in league contests.
Coach's Comments
"We really just couldn't get anything going offensively tonight, mostly because our shooting really struggled. I thought Tymoryae played hard tonight and it showed on the stat line." – head coach

Inside the Box Score
- Alaska shot 31.3 percent from the field (15-for-48), 25 percent from outside (5-for-20) and 90.9 percent from the free throw line (20-for-22).
- The Nanooks picked up 10 offensive and 12 defensive boards to total 22 rebounds on the night, while also chipping in eight assists and two steals.
- Two Nanooks tallied double-digit points, while Simon Fraser had five members of the Clan register double-digit points.
Alaska Leaders
- Junior guard Tymoryae Glover led all players on the court with 22 points, a single-game career-best.
- Glover shot 6-for-12 from the floor and 10-for-12 from the free throw line, while also picking up six rebounds and two steals in 31 minutes.
- Junior guard Jaqua Morrow also posted a career night on Saturday, shooting 5-for-10 from the floor, 3-for-4 from beyond the arc and 2-for-2 from the free throw line for a single-game career-best of 15 points.
- Senior forward Daulton Lootens led his teammates with seven rebounds, pulling down six offensive and one defensive boards.

The Alaska Nanooks men's basketball team will be on the road again next week, taking on the Western Oregon Wolves in Monmouth, Oregon on Thursday, Jan. 31 before taking on the Concordia Cavaliers in Portland, Oregon on Saturday, Feb. 2. Tip-off both nights is scheduled for 6pm AKST.
