FAIRBANKS, Alaska – The Alaska Nanooks announced today that the department is offering complimentary admission to this week's women's basketball games to any U.S. government employee currently on furlough and their dependents.

Any U.S. government employee currently on furlough can show their valid government ID at the Alaska Nanooks Ticketing Office, located in the lobby of the Patty Center, one hour prior to tip-off on the day of the game to earn complimentary admission. This offer is subject to availability on both Thursday and Saturday.

The Alaska Nanooks women's basketball team will host the Seattle Pacific Falcons on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 7pm AKST before taking on the Saint Martin's Saints on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 3pm AKST. Both games will take place at the Alaska Airlines Court at the Patty Center.

Additionally, the Alaska Nanooks swim team will be in action this weekend, as they host the Loyola Marymount Lions in a two-day meet at the Patty Center Pool. The Nooks will take on LMU on Friday, Jan. 25 at 6pm AKST before returning to the pool on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 12pm AKST. Admission for all Alaska swimming meets is free and open to the public.
