ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The Alaska Nanooks were handed their first loss of the season on Saturday afternoon, falling 63-57 to the Cal State East Bay Pioneers in the final game of the Seawolf Hoops Classic at the Alaska Airlines Center in Anchorage. The Nanooks drop to 3-1 overall on the year, while the Pioneers improve to 2-2.

- The Nanooks outscored their opponent in only one quarter, registering 17 points to CSU-East Bay's 14 in the third.
- The Nanooks tallied 32 points in the paint, 18 off turnovers, eight from the bench, eight off of fast breaks and four off of second chances.
- The Nanooks shot 35.0 percent from the floor (19-for-54), zero percent from three-point range (0-for-12) and 70.4 percent from the free throw line (19-for-27).
- Alaska tallied 10 offensive and 17 defensive boards to total 27 rebounds on the night.
- The Nooks also picked up 13 assists and 12 steals against the Pioneers.
Alaska Leaders
- The Nooks were led by junior forward Kylie Wallace, who picked up a team-best 16 points.
- Wallace also registered her first double-double of the season on Saturday, pulling down a team-high 10 rebounds.
- The Petersburg, Alaska native shot 4-for-9 from the field and 8-for-8 from the free throw line.
- Junior guard Sabrina Ungaro was the only other Alaska player to register double-digit figures on Saturday, shooting 3-for-12 from the field and 5-for-6 from the free throw line for 11 points.
- Ungaro also led her teammates in assists, tallying four.
