ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The Alaska Nanooks men's basketball team fell in nonconference action on Friday afternoon, dropping a 85-63 decision to the Lake Superior State Lakers in the opening game of the 2018 Seawolf Jamboree, hosted by Alaska Anchorage at the Alaska Airlines Center. The Lakers improve to 1-0 on the season, while the Nanooks drop to 0-4.
Inside the Box Score
- The Nanooks were outshot 41-25 in the first half and 44-38 in the second half.
- Alaska shot 33.3 percent from the field (19-for-57), 15.8 percent from beyond the arc (3-for-19) and 66.7 percent from the free throw line (22-for-33).
- 30 of the Nanooks' points came from the bench, 26 were made in the paint, nine were second chance points, eight were off of turnovers and four were fast-break points.
- The Nanooks tallied 14 offensive and 19 defensive boards, totaling 33 rebounds on the day.
- Alaska also registered 16 assists, four steals and one block.
Alaska Leaders
- Junior forward Michael Kluting led the Nanooks with 15 points and a team-best seven rebounds.
- Kluting shot 6-for-12 from the field and 3-for-4 from the free throw line.
- Senior guard Alex Baham followed closely behind with 13 points, shooting 2-for-9 from the floor, 1-for-5 from three-point range and a game-best 8-for-8 from the free throw line.
- Junior guard Tymoryae Glover posted 10 points for the Nooks.
- Junior guard Jalon McCullough posted a team-best 35 minutes on the court, also leading the Nanooks with five assists.

The Alaska Nanooks men's basketball team takes on the Northwood Timberwolves in their final game of the Seawolf Jamboree tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Alaska Airlines Center in Anchorage. Tip-off is scheduled for 12pm AKST.
