FAIRBANKS, Alaska – The Alaska Nanooks women's basketball continues to hunt for their first Great Northwest Athletic Conference victory, as the Nooks fell 74-47 to the Concordia Cavaliers at the Alaska Airlines Court on Thursday night. The loss drops Alaska's overall record to 4-9 on the season and 0-7 in conference play, while the Cavaliers improve to 10-4 on the season and 4-2 in league games.
"I thought our team played really hard tonight," head coach
Brett Sawyer said on Thursday. "Concordia is a really good team and at times I thought we played well against Cartwright, who's one of their best players. I think we're getting better and we'll make some adjustments for Saturday but I think tonight's loss is on me because the girls played hard and did everything we asked of them. We'll come back on Saturday and look to get our first conference victory."
