FAIRBANKS, Alaska – The Alaska Nanooks women's basketball team continues conference play this week, as they host in-state rival and No. 2 team in the country Alaska Anchorage in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference contest at the Alaska Airlines Court on Saturday, Dec. 9. Tip-off is slated for 7:30pm AKST.

Last Time Out
The Alaska Nanooks women's basketball team is in the midst of a three-week homestand, opening up GNAC play against the Northwest Nazarene Nighthawks and the Central Washington Wildcats last week. The Nooks fell 99-57 on Thursday (Nov. 30) before dropping Saturday's game with an 81-72 decision.

The Alaska Nanooks trail 45-72 in the all-time series records between the Nooks and the Seawolves, dating back to 1974. The Nanooks defeated the Seawolves 50-40 in their first-ever meeting between the two programs on Nov. 21, 1974. Alaska is currently on a 20-game losing streak to UAA, with their last win coming as an 85-83 overtime victory at home on Jan. 27, 2007. The Nanooks fell 89-48 in their last meeting on Jan. 24 on the road.
