MONMOUTH, Ore. – The Alaska Nanooks men's basketball team fell victim to the Western Oregon Wolves on Tuesday night, dropping a Great Northwest Athletic Conference contest at the New P.E. Gymnasium. The 80-61 decision drops the Nanooks' overall record to 4-6 and 2-2 in conference play, while the Wolves improve to 12-1 on the year and 4-1 in league games.

Tre Eisenhut led Alaska's offensive efforts on Tuesday night, shooting 4-for-7 from the floor, including going 3-for-5 from behind the arc and 2-for-2 from the free throw line to register a game-high and career-best 13 points.

Alex Baham was the only other Nook to score double-digit figures with 10 points. The Wasilla, Alaska native shot 4-for-10 from the floor and 2-for-2 from the free throw line, while also chipping in two rebounds in 32 minutes on the floor.

Michael Kluting tied for a team-best six rebounds, both pulling down one offensive and five defensive boards against the Wolves. Kluting and junior guard
Amenofis Mitchell both registered nine points and three assists on the night, while Kluting totaled a game-best 34 minutes on the court.

Davis Kimble continues to lead Alaska's assist efforts, dishing four for a team-best.
As a team, the Nooks shot 44.4 percent from the floor (24-for-54), 31.8 percent from behind the arc (7-for-22) and 62.5 percent from the free throw line (5-for-8). Alaska registered four offensive and 22 defensive rebounds on the night, totaling 26, while also collecting 14 assists, five steals and two blocks.
The Western Oregon Wolves were led by forward Riley Hawken, who shot 3-for-6 from the floor, 1-for-3 from three-point range and 4-for-4 from the free throw line to post a team-high 11 points. WOU outrebounded the Nooks, registering 36 and adding 18 assists and six steals.
The Alaska Nanooks men's basketball team will continue conference play following the New Year, as they hose the Seattle Pacific Falcons and Saint Martin's Saints at the Alaska Airlines Court on Thursday, Jan. 4 and Saturday, Jan. 6, respectively. Thursday's matchup against the Falcons is scheduled for 7pm AKST, while Saturday's game is slated for 2pm AKST.
