ELLENSBURG, Wash. –The Alaska Nanooks fell in three sets the Central Washington Wildcats in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday evening, going 21-25, 22-5 and 14-25 to extend the Nanooks losing streak to nine games. Alaska is now 2-15 overall, 1-9 in GNAC play, while the Wildcats improve to 11-7 overall, 7-3 in conference play.
As a team, Alaska only recorded 26 kills in the three sets, led by junior outside hitter
Angela Molesworth, who recorded seven. Freshman outside hitter
Tatum Upchurch ranked behind Molesworth, collecting six kills while freshman middle blocker
Kim Wong and sophomore outside hitter
Amberly Jeane each recorded four. Wong led the Nanooks in blocks, recording four block assists on the night.
Molesworth and Upchurch led the Nanooks with a team-high 8.0 points, while junior setter
Rachel Nichols posted the team's best hitting percentage with a .222. Nichols also posted a team-high 21 assists, while also chipping in six digs. Redshirt-senior
Meagan Olsen totaled a team-high 18 digs.

Riley Podowicz each recorded a service ace in Saturday's game.
As a team, the Nooks' best hitting percentage was in the third set when they posted 11 kills and 11 errors for .000 percent. The Nooks were 15-24 in the first set in sideout percentage, posting a 62%, but went 34-73 total for a combined sideout percentage of 46%.
The Nanooks return to their home court at the Patty Center on Thursday, Oct. 20 and Saturday, Oct. 22. The Nooks take on Western Washington on Thursday at 7pm AKT before facing off against Simon Fraser on Saturday at 1pm AKT.
