FAIRBANKS, Alaska -- Alaska Nanook hockey fans will have a chance to purchase season tickets before sales open to the public and preview the new amenities that the Carlson Center will offer for the upcoming season, as the Nanooks will host a Select-A-Seat Season Preview at the Carlson Center on Wednesday, Aug. 26. Doors open at 5 p.m. and events will conclude at 8 p.m.
It will be a night full of events and giveaways, as fans who are interested in becoming a season ticket holder, as well as current season ticket holders looking to change seats, are invited. Fans in attendance will have the chance to purchase season tickets four days before they go on sale to the public and will also have a chance to preview and sample new concession items and local microbrews which will now be offered in certain sections at the Carlson Center.
Beer will now be available to those seated in sections 101 through 109 in the reserved mezzanine and sections 201 through 207 in the balcony. SMG/Carlson Center staff will be present to provide information about seating in this area. At the Select-A-Seat Season Preview, fans will have a chance to sample a selection of beer that the Carlson Center will serve during the season. For fans who have already renewed their season tickets, this event will offer the chance to relocate into a new section of the Carlson Center.
Attending the Select-A-Seat Season Preview will give fans a chance to enter a drawing to win a pair of airline tickets to Anchorage and two tickets to the Alaska Airlines Governor's Cup series at the Sullivan Arena (Dec 11-12). The winner will be announced at the Preview. In addition, the Carlson Center will be giving away concession stand coupons and tickets to future Carlson Center events (subject to availability) as additional prizes.
The Select-A-Seat Season Preview will feature a guided tour of the Nanook locker room, as the coaching staff will take fans on an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour. Several student-athletes will be on-hand to meet and greet with fans. Players will also be available for autographs and the beloved mascot, Nook, will be in attendance, displaying his new look. The new line of Nanook apparel will also be available, brought to you by the UAF Bookstore
Season ticket packages begin at $235 for general admission balcony seats, while reserved mezzanine are set at $375 per package. Fans from age 2-12 can purchase tickets starting at $195 for general admission balcony and $300 for reserved mezzanine.
Fans who purchase 2015-16 season tickets, will be automatically entered in the Alaska Airlines round-trip for two drawing. One lucky season ticket holder will win two round trip tickets anywhere Alaska Airlines flies. The winner will be announced on Oct. 4 at the first home game against Mt. Royal University.

 The Nanooks will kick off the 2015-16 campaign on Sept. 26 with their annual Blue vs. Gold Game in the Patty Ice Center. Alaska will open the regular season portion of its schedule on Oct. 9, when they take on St. Cloud State in the Kendall Hockey Classic in Anchorage. Face-off from Sullivan Arena is set for 5:07 p.m.
