Box Score BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Alaska's Stephanie Toumson scored 15 points as both she and Kaillee Skjold hit five field goals in the game, but the Nanooks were defeated 91-60 by Western Washington on Thursday night.
With the loss, Alaska slips out of the final Great Northwest Athletic Conference playoff spot for the time being as they not sit at 5-10 in the league and 13-12 overall. Western Washington is now 18-7 overall and 12-4 in conference play.
Toumson had an exceptionally effient game as she went 5-of-7 from the field and 5-of-6 from the charity stripe to score her 15 points. She also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds and had one assist, block and steal each.
Skjold also went 5-of-7 from the field and had five rebounds and an assist. Jordan Wilson went 6-of-6 from the free-throw line as she too had 10 points in the game.
Jenni White led four Vikings in double digits as she had 18 points. Aleisha Hathaway scored four 3-pointers to score 14 points.
Alaska fell victim to its own game in the contest, as the Nanooks who have been so strong in forcing points off of turnovers, committed 22 of their own against the Vikings leading to 25 points.
The Nanooks continue its hunt of a GNAC playoff spot on Saturday as they travel to take on the Clan in Canada. The game is set to begin at 6:00 p.m.
