TORONTO -- On Tuesday, The Sports Network (TSN), Canada's largest sports network, announced that the Alaska Nanooks hockey contest on Jan. 8 against Alabama-Huntsville will be broadcasted live on TSN2.
The Nanooks game against the Chargers will be two of the 32 teams that will be featured throughout Canada on TSN this season, as the company announced its biggest NCAA hockey broadcast schedule ever on Tuesday afternoon. 46 games, along with the entire NCAA Tournament, will be shown live on the TSN family of networks. TSN is a part of communications conglomerate Bell Canada, and is owned in small part by ESPN Inc. The program's format is similar to the American version of ESPN.
The Jan. 8 contest against Alabama-Huntsville will be broadcasted live to almost the entire continent of North America, as the game will also be televised lived on the American Sports Network in the United States. First face-off from Huntsville, Alabama is set for 4:07 p.m., with the broadcast starting at 4 p.m. on both ASN and TSN2.
The Alaska Nanooks hockey team opens a two-week trip Western Collegiate Hockey Association to the Lower 48 this weekend, as they'll take on Bemidji State. The two-game series starts on Friday and concludes the following day. Friday's game from Bemidji, Minnesota is set for 4:37Â p.m., while Saturday's game begins at 4:07Â and will be streamed live on WCHA.tv.
