Box Score FAIRBANKS – Despite a 21 kill performance by junior Sam Harthun, the Alaska Nanook volleyball team lost, 3-1, to Tiffin University (Ohio) in its second match of the Flint Hills Resources Alaska Nanook Classic.

Alaska falls to 0-2 overall while Tiffin improves to 1-1 after losing to St. Edward's University (Texas) (2-0) in the earlier Friday match.

The first set was hotly contested, with Tiffin eking out a 26-24 victory before the Nanooks responded with a 25-22 win in the second. However, they could not continue that momentum as the Dragons won the third and fourth sets by scores of 25-13 and 25-17, respectively.

The Nanooks play twice tomorrow, as they host SEU at 11:00 a.m. and round-out the Flint Hills Resources Alaska Nanook Classic with a 7:00 p.m. rematch against the Dragons.
