FAIRBANKS – When choosing a school to receive his education and play hockey at, Fairbanks native
Tayler Munson did not have to look far.

Jared Linnell. Entering this weekend's Robertson Cup semifinal series, Munson has accrued 28 points on 16 goals and 12 assists in 37 career playoff appearances.
He will be one of five former Ice Dog players to suit up for the Nanooks next year, joining Hajdukovich (2010-12), Linnell (2009-11)
Jared Larson (2008-10) and
Justin Woods (2011-12). Upon his enrollment, he plans to major in general studies.
"It's going to be awesome," Munson said of reuniting with his former teammates. "They're my friends; they've been my friends growing up here, so it will be nice to get back on the ice with those guys."
Munson joins
Zach Frye (Spokane, Wash./Lincoln (USHL)),
Peter Krieger (Oakdale, Minn./Waterloo (USHL)),
Colton Sparrow (Vernon, British Columbia/Vernon (BCHL)) and
Austin Vieth (Marinette, Wis./Waterloo (USHL)) on the list of incoming freshmen for the 2014-15 roster.
