Box Score

FAIRBANKS – Competing for the first time competitively, the Alaska Nanook men's basketball lost, 83-73, to Trinity International in an exhibition game on Friday.

Three Nanooks recorded double-digit scoring figures, with Adam Griffin leading the way with 17 points. Eric Fongue scored 14 points while Almir Hadzisehovic contributed 10 points.

The Trojans, who have played four regular season games this season, were led by Nate Ball who had a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Trinity's experience early in the year showed at the free-throw line and beyond the three-point line as they shot 80% (24-30) from the line 45% (9-20) from beyond the arc.

Alaska did hold an advantage on the glass, however, as they out-rebounded the Trojans 44-37, including 19 offensive boards to Trinity's 12.

The Nanooks will take on the Trojans again, tomorrow, at 1:00 p.m. in another exhibition at the Patty Center.
