Hockey Coaches Unveil New Locker Room Facility to Players

On Tuesday night, Oct. 1, the Alaska hockey program unveiled its brand-new locker room facility at the Carlson Center to its players after more than six months of renovation to the Nanooks' home venue.

The 27 players arrived to the arena and were met by the coaching and support staff who began giving the tour to the players. A few minutes later, they opened the doors to the locker room so the Nanooks could see their new facility and we were able to capture the initial reaction and talk to players to see what they thought.


The Nanooks will have their first practice of the season Wednesday morning at 9:45 a.m. at the Carlson Center as they prepare for an exhibition game this Saturday at 5:45 p.m. against the University of British Columbia. The regular season's home opener is scheduled for Oct. 18 at 8:07 p.m. against 17th-ranked Denver at the Brice Alaska Goal Rush.
