FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Fourth-ranked Notre Dame used two goals 33 seconds apart in the second period and a late empty-net tally to rally for a 4-2 CCHA victory against the Alaska Nanooks on Saturday night in front of 3,222 spectators at the Carlson Center.
The Irish improved to 15-10-3 overall and 10-7-3-0 in the CCHA, while the Nanooks fell to 9-13-4 and 6-12-4-2 on the season.

Carlo Finucci in the neutral zone. Finnuci fed Granberg, who beat UND's Mike Johnson to make it 1-1 at 5:10.
Even-strength goals by UND's T.J. Tynan and Stephen Johns at 15:20 and 15:53 of the second stanza put the Irish on top for the second time in the contest and an empty-net marker by Riley Sheahan at 19:27 of the third sealed the win for the visitors.
The Nanooks were outshot 23-17 in the encounter and finished the night 0-for-3 on the power play and 1-for-2 on the penalty kill.
Alaska heads to Kalamazoo, Mich., next week for a two-game set at Western Michigan on Friday and Saturday. The puck drops 7:05 p.m. EST (3:05 p.m. AKST) both days.
