Alaska Out of Playoff Hopes with 55-43 Loss

Box Score With a 55-43 loss at Simon Fraser (7-13, 4-11 GNAC) Saturday night, the Alaska women's basketball team (1-22, 1-15 GNAC) is officially out of playoff hopes.

The win likely locks up a spot for the Clan, who lead ninth-place Central Washington by two games.

For the first time this season, Ciara Patton led the Nanooks in scoring with 11 points. She shot 4-for-8 from the field and 3-for-7 from three-point range.

Whitney Anderson led the team in rebounding with a season-high six boards.

The Great Northwest Athletic Conference playoffs pit the top eight out of 10 teams against each other, beginning Feb. 28.

Alaska has two games remaining on the schedule—both on the road. The Nanooks play at Western Washington Feb. 19 and at Alaska Anchorage Feb. 24.
