Michigan answered 1:31 later, as Lee Moffie slipped one past Greenham to cut the lead in half to 3-2.

Alaska regained a two-goal lead at 4:57 in the third when Beck struck once again. Michigan's David Wohlberg scored at the 10:37 mark of the period to get the Wolverines to within a goal again, but the Nanooks defended the home ice for the final half period to win for the third straight time.
