FAIRBANKS, Alaska
- The Alaska Nanooks got a pair of goals from sophmore Colton Beck, who was named the Player of the Game, and senior goalie Scott Greenham made 31 saves in his return to the net to guide the home team to a 4-1 upset of No. 15/16 Nebraska-Omaha in the final game of the 2011 Brice Alaska Goal Rush Saturday night at the Carlson Center.

Alaska Anchorage, who also went 2-0 in tournament play with a 6-2 win over Mercyhurst in the early game, was crowned the Goal Rush Champion after winning the tie-breaker for goal differential. The Nanooks outscored the two Outside teams, 9-3 on the weekend, while the Seawolves allowed one less and outscored them 9-2.

Taking home tournament honors were junior forward Nik Yaremchuk, who scored the short-handed game-winning goal for Alaska at 2:46 of the second period, was selected as the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Senior defenseman Aaron Gens, who had an assist, a game-high six blocks and was plus-two on the evening, was named a member of the 2011 All-Tournament Team also.
