Greene Scores 21, Alaska Lose to NNU, 87-69

Box Score Coming off their first win of the season, the Alaska women's basketball team would have loved to make it two in a row against Northwest Nazarene Saturday. Unfortunately, it didn't pan out, and the Nanooks lost 87-69 in front of a home crowd.

The game was back and forth through the first fifteen minutes of play. Alaska lost a two-point lead with 5:17 to play in the first half, and the difference grew to 11 points heading into halftime.

Credit Nicole Bozek and Autumn Greene for keeping it close through the half. Bozek posted 12 first-half points, while Greene tallied another nine. Both grabbed four rebounds.

The second half was all Crusaders, who led by as much as 18 points twice, including the final score. Greene added another 12 points to finish with a season-high 21.

Alaska allowed the Crusaders' Monica Garcia to score 31 points—the highest total allowed this season.

Bozek went on to record her third double-double of the season and her second in two nights. She finished with 18 points and a season-high 11 rebounds. She shot a perfect 8-for-8 from the foul line.

Jessica Harrison finished with 12 points and matched her season high in assists with three.

The Nanooks head to Saint Martin's (Jan. 13) and Western Oregon (Jan. 15) next weekend.
