Pavlovskaya Earns All-American Honor at Swim Chamionships

CANTON, OH - Mariya Pavlovskaya (Korolev City, Russia) earned All-American Honorable Mention as she finished in 11th place in the 200-yard IM on Wednesday night at the NCAA Division II National Championships.

Pavlovskaya, who as a three-time All-American last season, swam the finals in a time of 2:06.09, good for 11th of 54 racers, while breaking her own varsity record.  She imporoved over two seconds on her prelim time of  2:08.02, where she finished 14th.  With the finish Pavlovskaya earned All-American Honorable Mention honors in the 200 IM.

Senior Felina Rosadiuk (Fairbanks, AK) finished the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.24 seconds, which was good for 32nd out of 62 swimmers.

Both Pavlovskaya and Rosadiuk will return to the waters on Thursday when they continue their national championship hopes. 

In order to qualify as an All-American a swimmer must finish in the top eight of an event, with spots nine through 16 earning Honorable Mention All-American accolades.
