FAIRBANKS, AK - The Alaska Nanooks saw their 10-game home winning streak snapped at the hands of the No. 5/6 Michigan Wolverines, who used a three-goal third period to upend the Blue and Gold 5-2 at the Carlson Center Saturday night.
Joe Sova scored on the power-play and
Andy Taranto scored short-handed for the Nanooks, while U-M got goals from four players, including two from Louie Caporusso.

Scott Greenham turned aside 35 Wolverine shots, while his counterpart Bryan Hogan made 17.
The Nanooks were outshot 40-19, but went 1-for-4 on the power-play and were 6-for-6 on the penalty kill.
The Blue and Gold hit the road next week to take on the Miami Redhawks for a two-game conference series in Oxford. Friday's game is set for 3:05 p.m. AKT and Saturday's will face-off an hour earlier at 2:05 p.m. Both games will be televised locally on KFXF Fox 7.
