Crusaders Run Away With an 89-68 Victory in Nampa

NAMPA, Idaho - As has been a reoccurring theme all season, the Nanooks let a huge run play themselves out a ball game as tonight they watched Northwest Nazarene use a 36-13 run at the end of the first half and the beginning on the second half to propel the Crusaders to an 89-68 Great Northwest Atlantic Conference victory.

With the Nanooks trailing 25-24 with six minutes to go in the first half, the Crusaders ended the half with an 18-6 run. They picked up in the second half right where they left off netting 18 of the first 23 points to begin the second 20 minutes.

Jon Moe
was a scratch from the Alaska line up for undisclosed reasons, but replacement Aaron Jones held his own with 15 points on 7-12 FG. The Nanooks leading scorer, Emanuel Jenkins, was held under his season average with 16 points.

The Nanooks shot 50 percent from the field and only committed 10 turnovers, but the Crusaders out rebounded the Blue and Gold 40-24, including 18 offensive rebounds.

Alaska has their final road game of the season this Saturday at Central Washington. They finish their season off with two games at the Patty Center March 5 and 7.
