Seattle, WA - Seattle Pacific’s Kelsey Burns made nine of her 11 three-point attempts in route to a 97-47 victory over an Alaska squad that has been riddled by injuries.
Ronisha Edwards led the way for the Nanooks scoring 21 points on 9-24 FG and grabbed 10 rebounds. This was her fifth consecutive game playing the entire 40 minutes.
Guards Sheena Brown and Caitlin Hamsley also played the entire game as expected and combined for 19 points.
Denise Benavides, a transfer from Alaska Anchorage who red-shirted at UAA last year, led the way for the Nanook newcomers playing 26 minutes.
The Blue and Gold continue their road trip next Thursday night at Western Washington. The Vikings defeated the Nanooks 81-48 on Feb. 14 at the Patty Center in their first meeting.
