Fairbanks, AK - The Crusaders of Northwest Nazarene ran away with a 97-53 victory against a gusty but depleted Nanook squad that couldn't match the depth of NNU.
Three Alaska players, Ronisha Edwards, Sheena Brown, and Caitlin Hamsley, combined to score 48 of the teams' 53 points. Brown had 20 points, and Edwards had 17 points and 12 rebounds.
NNU was led by Kristin Hein who scored 23 points on 10-19 FG. The Crusaders had four players score in double figures, and nine players score overall.
Alaska heads to Seattle Pacific on Saturday as they take the court in the first game of an Alaska-Seattle Pacific double-header. The women tip at 4:15 p.m. and the men tip at 6:30 p.m. ASKT.
