NAMPA, ID - Junior outside hitter Megan Thigpen paced the Alaska Nanooks with a match-high 13 kills and 12 digs but for the second time this season the Northwest Nazarene University volleyball team had the Nanooks number. The Crusaders completed the season sweep with a 3-0 victory Thursday at the Johnson Sports Center by scores of 27-25, 25-22, 25-13.
The loss was just the third of the conference season for the Nanooks who are now 7-3
in GNAC action and 13-6 overall. It also snapped the Blue and Gold's four-match winning streak.
Senior middle hitter Korlyn Bolster had 12 kills in the loss and setter Alexa Sherman finished with a match-high 33 assists.
Amanda Boschma led the Crusaders with 11 kills. Cammy Dranginis also finished in double-digits with 10 kills. Eki Punimata finished with 21 assists and Haley Hevern led all defenders with 13 kills, Forseth added 12.
The Nanooks continue on the road at Seattle Pacific University Saturday evening in Seattle.
