FORT WORTH,TX: It may not always be pretty, but the Alaska Nanooks rifle team continues to get the job done, ringing up their fourth win of the season over Texas Christian University by an aggregate score of 4653-4627. In smallbore, the Nanooks edged by the narrowest of margins, 2303-2297. The Blue and Gold fared slightly better in air rifle, prevailing 2350-2330.
Patrik Sartz continued to be sharp for the Nanooks, firing a match-high 590: a score equaled by teammate Christofer Olofsson in the same event. Sartz also landed a team-high 585 in smallbore. Fairbanks' Ida Petersen also hit for 587 in air rifle.
The Nanooks continue their road trip in Lincoln, Neb. this weekend with two matches,taking on Kentucky on Oct. 27 and Nebraska on Oct. 28.
