Brian Scott

Brian Scott enters his first season with the Nanooks following successful stints as an assistant coach at NCAA Division I institutions Weber State University (Utah) and Utah State University where he was responsible for coordinating offensive systems, blocking systems and served as the teams' recruiting coordinator.

At Weber State University, Scott assisted in the rebuilding of that program. His three seasons with the Wildcats were marked by success both on and off the court, as his teams had 32 Big Sky Conference All-Academic athletes as well as several Big Sky All-Conference players and the Big Sky Newcomer of the Year, all of whom were recruited and coached by Scott.

His recruits were also part of a new identity to the Weber State program, as his players broke program records in kills, digs, assists and blocks. Scott, who identifies himself as an excellent blocking instructor, also coached the Big Sky Conference blocking record holder and two nationally ranked blockers in his time with the Wildcats.

In two seasons with Utah State, Scott helped build the Aggies into a national contender, topped off by a 2010 Western Athletic Conference tournament championship and an overall record of 24-9. Scott was also responsible for coaching the 2010 WAC MVP and an All-American during his time with the Aggies.

Scott is a 2007 graduate of Weber State. He married to his Holly Scott, they reside in Fairbanks and have four children, Coleman (15), Sydney (12), Emery (8) and Grey (4).
