Graham Sachtleben

Graham Sachtleben is in his second season with the Alaska Nanooks Department of Athletics. He joined the 'Nooks on August 14, 2023 as the Athletics Administration Assistant. 

"I'm excited to be joining the University of Alaska Fairbanks family and becoming a part of an outstanding institution and community in Fairbanks, Alaska!" Said Sachtleben following his hiring. He joins the Nanooks department after spending the past two years with Athletes in Action. Since September 2021, Sachtleben worked with the AIA Soccer Academy in Xenia, Ohio as an Operations Manager & Part-Time Assistant Coach where he corresponded with the supervisor to formulate annual soccer academy budgets and game models. He also worked in the AIA Soccer Department as the Sports Coordinator from Sept. 2021 to Feb. 2023 before becoming the Director of Local Programming at AIA. As the Director he oversaw all sports camps, leagues and tournament experiences on campus. 

Alongside his administration and leaderships roles, Sachtleben has spent time as a soccer coach. He helped train and develop goalkeepers at the Xenia branch location of the Kings Hammer FC in Cincinnati, Ohio. He also helped create reports based on athlete performance while collaborating with coaches. He was also the Assistant Coach for the PRIDE Soccer Club, helping advance athletes skillsets in conjunction with the coaching staff. His longest stint as a coach came from Dec. 2019 to Apr. 2022 where he was the Assistant Coach for the Wright State University men's soccer team. While there, he developed and directed goalkeeper training, conducted goalkeeper film reports from games and practices, scouted athletes internationally and domestically and worked on internal team operations. 

His other stops include working with the Dayton Dutch Lions men's soccer team, the Cedarville University men's soccer team, FC Dayton and being a private goalkeeper trainer. Sachtleben graduated from Cedarville University in Dec. 2018 with a B.A. History and Political Science, Theology. He was a student-athlete for the Cedarville Yellow Jackets where he was a goalie on the Division II men's soccer team.
