Larson enters year two of working with Nanooks athletics in 2024-25.
Marisa Sharrah, the Associate AD for External Relations, headed the search committee in charge of hiring the position and is excited for Brooke to join the team, "Brooke is a tremendous addition to the Alaska Nanooks team; we're lucky to have her. Her experience and passion for engaging with donors, event management, and supporting our teams will elevate Alaska Nanooks athletics and complement the upward trajectory of our department, programs, and community relationships."
Larson was already at the University of Alaska Fairbanks before joining the Department of Athletics; in June of 2023, she joined UAF as the Development Coordinator. There, she provided advanced program liaise for the Development Director and additional senior relationship managers. She assisted and coordinated internal communications across the UAF central office and other individual units. "I'm very excited to be joining the athletics department and greatly appreciate the opportunity to continue my professional development. I'm passionate about community engagement and supporting students and I look forward to being part of the team!" said Larson after accepting the position.Â
Larson graduated from Cal State, Long Beach in May 2023 and earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in English Rhetoric and Composition. During her senior year, she was a Development Intern for CSULB.Â
