Coach Lemley on Jacqueline ... [quote]Last year Jacqueline set varsity records in three of the four strokes as well as both IMs as well as playing an integral role on all five relays. She really had an outstanding year. Having said that, she missed qualifying for NCAAs by a tenth of a second which was her overall goal and though heartbreaking at the time, that fact may well provide the necessary motivation for her to do everything she needs to do to qualify this year. Last year she basically swam against the clock being the fastest and most versatile swimmer on the team. This year with the strength of our freshman class, Jacqueline is being pushed every day in practice. From a coach[apos]s standpoint, that[apos]s a perfect situation. Competition brings out the best in a competitor and Jacqueline is the quintessential competitor.[quote]
