2010-11:  Franz consistently served as one of the Nanooks few distance freestylers for her freshman season; in the dual meet series against Grand Canyon University in November, Franz swam a lifetime best in the 1650 Freestyle with a time of 20:24.17; at the PCSC Championships in February she went a personal best in the 500 Freestyle with a 5:51.03; was recognized for Academic Honors by the Athletic Department.

Prior to Alaska: 4-year member of West Valley HS Swim Team; 2007 Most Improved; 3rd place in 500 free at Regionals in 2010; competed three years with the Midnight Sun Swim Team.

Personal: Daughter of Darren and Brenda Franz; she enjoys fishing and camping; Franz is currently majoring in Biology with an emphasis in Wildlife.
