Prior to Alaska: Attended Lathrop High School in Fairbanks, AK . . . Graduated as an Alaska Scholar (Top 10% of her graduating class) . . . Region VI Record Holder in the 200/500 yard Freestyles . . . Seven time Alaska High School State Champion . . . Ranked in the All-Time Top 12 in Alaska High School swimming history (5th in the 500 yard Freestyle, 6th in the 200 yard Freestyle and 8th in the 100 yard Freestyle) . . . National High School All-American her junior year (200 yard Freestyle). 

Coach Lemley on Felina: "Felina is one of those rare athletes with both tremendous talent and an unbelievable work ethic. Although she's been out of the water for the last year or so, with her drive I know Felina will be swimming lifetime bests by our conference championships. She's one of five new recruits on our team, all of whom have a real shot at qualifying for the national championships. As her coach since the age of 13, Felina has gone through a lot of personal growth culminating in what we see today - a great person, great student and great swimmer."
