As a freshman, Townsend appeared in five races for the Nanooks ... Her first career race was the Seawolf Throwdown on Sept. 6 - there she finished 15th with a 6k time of 26:36.0 ... The following race she took 13th at the Blue & Gold Race in Fairbanks, crossing the finish line in 26:40.0 ... On Sept. 27, she set a new 6k personal-best time with a 73rd-place finish at the WWU Bill Roe Classic in Bellingham ... She finished in 26:08.6 ... Her season wrapped up at the 2025 GNAC Championships on Oct. 25 ... There she finished the 6k race in 26:31.9 and placed 82nd

Redondo Union High School
Townsend ran for Redondo Union. She ran both cross country and track & field and Townsend was a Scholar-Athlete her sophomore through senior years, while also earning RUHS honor roll all four years. The RUHS Girls XC team was awarded a certificate of recognition for their outstanding achievement for qualifying for the CA State Championship in 2023. From 2021-23, she was awarded the RUHS Academic Letter for four consecutive semesters with a 3.5+ GPA.

Daughter of Niki and Tim ... Her grandfather, Skip (Garold) Townsend, played football at the University of Arizona from 1960-61 ... Devyn is studying wildlife biology and conservation.
