2020-21 | Redshirt-Senior
Appeared in six events for the Nanooks ... At the RMISA Invitational hosted by the University of Utah, he raced his best 10km freestyle race of the year with a 23:00.0, placing 14th-place, also his best finish of the year ... He finished the next event, a 20km classic in a time of 59:41.8 and in 23rd place ... At the RMISA Invitational at SoHo he placed 20th and 17th in a 10km classic and 15km freestyle with times of 28:00.4 and 37:53.6 ... He finished his 2020-21 season at the RMISA Championships racing in the 10km classic and 20km freestyle ... In the classic he finished 25th with a time of 28:04.2 and in the freestyle he finished 17th with a time of 54:00.9, his best 20km time of the season

At the Denver Invitational, Platil scored 158.37 points in the 10km classic and 184.87 in the 10km skate pursuit ... Appeared in 14 events as a Nanooks … Finished 18th in the 20km classic with a personal-best 55:26.7 at the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association Championships … At the U.S. National Championships had a career-best 3:20.21 placing 73rd in the sprint freestyle … Also at nationals skied a personal-best 3:48.63 in the sprint classic finishing 170th … Had a career-best 15:15.2 in the 5km freestyle placing 15th at the New Mexico Invitational … Also finished 24th in the 7.5km with a personal-best 27:40.2 at the invitational …  Placed 31st in the 10km freestyle at the RMISA Championships … Finished 83rd in the 15km classic at U.S. Nationals … Placed 22nd at the Montana State Invitational in the 20km classic … At the Colorado Invitational finished 13th and 23rd in the 10km classic and the 10km freestyle respectively.
