Raced in five events for the Nanooks during his freshman season, three classic races and two freestyle ... Began his season at the Montana State Invitational on Jan. 26 with the 7.5k classic, where he placed 16th with a time of 20:35.9 ... Competed at the UAF Invite on Feb. 16-17, staring with an 11th-place result in the classic sprints ... Posted a qualifier time of 2:56.41 to advance to the quarterfinals, and his 2:49.10 was good enough for him to advance to the semifinals, where he logged a 2:52.26 ... Notched a 17th-place finish in the 10k freestyle the following day after completing his race in 24:36.1 ... Concluded his season at the RMISA Championships on Feb. 21-22 ... Took 16th in the 7.5k classic with a time of 21:08.3 ... Ended the conference championships with a 15th-place result in the 20k freestyle, posting a 51:59.1 in the race.
