Raced in seven events during his freshman season with the Nanooks, three classic races and four freestyle ... began his season with a 23rd-place result in the 10k freestyle at the U.S. Nationals on Jan. 2, finishing his race in 23:22.4 ... His next race was in the classic sprints at the UAF Invite on Feb. 16, where he placed fourth ... Posted a 2:47.19 qualifier time, a 2:47.85 quarterfinal time and a 2:44.47 semifinal time in the sprints to advance to the finals, where he logged a time of 2:46.78 ... Took 27th in the 10k freestyle the next day with a 25:33.4 ... Competed in the RMISA Championships on Feb. 21-22, starting with the 7.5k classic, where he took fourth after posting a time of 20:30.1 ... That time was 0.8 seconds off of a podium spot ... Placed 21st in the 20k freestyle the next day after skiing to a time of 53:08.8 ... Ended his season at the NCAA Championships on March 6-8 in Hanover, N.H., taking 31st in the 7.5k classic with a time of 23:56.4 ... Concluded the championships by posting a 48:53.0 in the 20k freestyle, good for 27th place.
