Janes was a four-year varsity letter for cross country. As a member of the team, he was a State Runner-Up. He ran track & field one year, his senior year, and lettered. Coming into Alaska, he holds PR's in the following: 800 (2:03), 1600 (4:28), 3200 (10:35), 5000 (17:06).

Son of Becky and Sean ... One sibling; Adler ... His mom, Becky, ran at Gonzaga from 1996-97 ... Janes is studying wildlife ecology.
