2012 as a red-shirt senior: Placed 17th overall in the 8K at the Alaska Invitational.

2011: Redshirted his senior season.

2010 as a junior: A transfer from UAA, Treinen joined the Nanooks for his junior season this year; at the Alaska Nanook Cross Country Invitational in September, Treinen finished 11th in the 8K with a time of 28:01.8 and 13th in the 4K with a time of 13:54.7; he was a member of the GNAC Championship Team, finishing his first Nanook season with a 43rd place finish in the 8K; was recognized for Academic Honors by the Athletic Department.

Skiing

2011-12: Redshirted his senior season.

2010-11 as a junior: Treinen came from two years with UAA to ski for the Nanooks this season as a junior; he helped the team claim their fifth straight Nordic Cup with a second place finish the first day, another second place finish on Day 2 in the 8K Freestyle with a time of 30:41.2, first for the Nanooks, and finished out Day 3 with a 3rd place finish in the 8K Classic with a 29:59.9; at the US National Championships Treinen came out 76th in the 1.4K Sprint with a time of 3:40.42, a solid 4th place finish in the 15K Classic with a time of 44:19.6, and finished out with a 7th place finish in the 30K Freestyle with a 1:11:39.6; Treinen's finishes at US Nationals landed him on the USA's Under-23 World Championship Team; he was attitionally named to the USCSCA All-Academic Team and was one of five Nanooks to qualify for the NCAA Skiing National Championships; at NCAA Nationals, Treinen finished with 15th place in the 10K Freestyle with a time of 26:57.5 and after battling poor weather conditions, finished 38th in the 20K Classic; was recognized for Academic Honors by the Athletic Department.

2009-10 (at UAA): Earned second career All-America Honor with a 9th place finish in the 20K Freestyle race at the NCAA Skiing National Championships and placed 21st in the 10K Classic; 12th place finish in the Freestyle and a 32nd place in the Classic at the RMISA Championships; received second career National Ski Coaches Association All-Academic Team honor.

2008-09 (at UAA): Joined UAA's All-America list by finishing runner-up in the 10K Freestyle at NCAA National Championships and a 16th place in the 20K Classic;  produced four top-10 finishes at UAA; named to National Ski Coaches Association All-American Team; 26th place ranking in RMISA's Nordic standings.

Prior to Alaska: Two-time All-American at University of Alaska Anchorage for Cross Country Skiing; three-time All-State selection in high school; won the 2006 Alaska State Title in the 7.5K Freestyle; three-time Runner-Up at State Championship Meet; won the 10K Freestyle at the J1 level at 2008 Junior Nationals; former member of the Alaska Winter Stars.

Personal: Currently double majoring in Russian Studies and English.
