Delaney raced in seven races for the Nanooks ... He broke through with a stellar freshman year that started with a third-place finish at the Seawolf Throwdown in Anchorage ... He posted a 7.5k time of 23:45.0 ... The next week, he recorded his first win, taking first in the Blue & Gold Race in Fairbanks with an 8k time of 25:48.0 ... The rest of the GNAC and region took notice at the 2025 WWU Bill Roe Classic, with Delaney placing eighth in Bellingham with a personal-best 8k time of 24:24.3 ... Two weeks later he raced at the Lewis Crossover in Romeoville, Ill. and took 47th with a 24:50.9 ... Delaney started his postseason run at the 2025 GNAC Championships, there he took eighth in the 8k championships, posting a time of 24:39.6 ... His eighth-place finish earned him an All-GNAC finish, the first Nanooks men's racer in the GNAC-era ... His strong performances continued at the NCAA DII West Region Championships where he finished seventh in the 10k race with a 29:45.5 ... He placed seventh and earned West All-Region honors, again, becoming the first Nanooks men's racer to earn All-Region honors since 2001 when joining the GNAC ... Liberty Bell High School
Delaney ran at Liberty Bell High School in Washington and was a key member of their success. With them, he was a two-time WIAA XC Boys State Champion, a two-time state champion in the 3200m, and a state champion in the 1600m.
