Biography

2011-12 as a freshman: Three-time All-American at 2012 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships...Part of fourth-place 800 freestyle All-American relay team...Honorable Mention All-American in 200 and 400 freestyle relays...NCAA qualifier in 200 and 500 freestyles and 400 individual medley..Set new personal-best times in three individual events at NCAA Championships...All-Conference in 200 free (seventh) at PCSC Championships...Member of 800 free relay squad that turned in program's first-ever NCAA A-cut time...Third in 800 free relay and sixth in 200 free relay at Husky Invitational...Posted 14 victories and seven top-three finishes in dual meets this season...Part of all three freestyle relay tandems which set varsity records this season...Fall 2011 Academic Walk honoree...Received team's Attitude Award & Most Improved Award.

Prior to Alaska: 4-year member of the Central High School swim team; helped her team earn Conference Championship Titles from 2007-09; school record holder in the 200 Freestyle from her 2010 State Championship performance, where she finished 2nd place with a 1:56.97; earned the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award from the Wyoming High School Athletic Association; member of the National Honor Society; 8-year member of the Cheyenne Swim Club.

Personal: Daughter of Tim and Elaina Summers; has four sisters; Majoring in Foreign Language (Spanish).
