Nordic Skiing

2011-12 as a Senior: Began the season with a ninth place finish in the Nordic Cup in the 5K Classic with a time of 14:40 and earned a fifth place finish in the 5K Freestyle with a time of 29:18...At the US Cross Country Nationals, Morris finished 44th overall in the 30K with a time of 1:34:30.3...At the Hilltop Invitational, Morris finished 15th in the 9.4K Freestyle with a time of 22:00.9...At the CCSA Conference Championships, he was a part of the 5K relay team that took 6th place...Finished the season at the NCAA Central Regional Championships 25th in the 10K with a time of 27:07.3 and finished the 15K in 45:03.9.

2010-11 as a Junior: For Morris' junior season, he finished 16th on the second day of the Nordic Cup Series in November in the 8K with a 32:10.6...On the thrid day Morris finished 13th with a 31:53.4...At the CSSA HIlltop Invitational, Morris took 3rd in the 10K Freestyle with a time of 30:34.3 and came away with a 1st place finish in the 10K Classic with a time of 30:00.1...At the Mayor's Challenge Morris finished with pair of 18th places in the 10K Freestyle with a time of 25:38.0 and the 15K Classic with a time of 40:58.2...At the CCSA Conference Championships, he finished 4th place in the 10K Freestyle with a time of 31:11.8 and came away with a 7th place finish in the 20K...Morris' finishes at the Conference Championships landed him with All-CCSA Second Team Honors...Morris was also named to the USCSCA All-Academic Team...Was recognized for Academic Honors by the Athletic Department.

2009-10 as a Sophmore: Finished 3rd place on the first day of the Nordic Cup Competition...Helped his team place second in the Nordic Cup Relay Race...Helped his team notch the second spot in the Minnesota Ski Relay...Finished 26th in the Mayor's Challenge 10K Freestyle...Finished 27th at the Mayor's Challenge in the 15K Classic...Took seventh in the CCSA SkiChampionships in the 10 KM Classic.

2008-09 as a Freshman: Was 14th at the Alaska Nordic Cup, and placed 23rd at Camp Ripley in the 20K Skate; was 35th in the 10K Classic at the CCSA Regional Championships; William Wood Scholar Athlete.

2007-08 as a Redshirt Freshman: Redshirted his first year with the Nanooks; named to Chancellor's List.

Cross Country Running

2010 as a Sophmore: Was a member of the team that helped the Nanooks claim the GNAC Team Academic Champions title...Finished 25th in the 8K at the Alaska Nanooks Cross Country Invitational in August with a time of 30:40.9...Recognized for Academic Honors by the Athletic Department.

2009 as a Freshman: Was the 11th Nanook finisher with a time of 20:15.6 that helped secure the Nanooks win over Central Washington University in August.

Prior to Alaska: Participated in four years of cross country running and cross country skiing at Dimond High School in Anchorage...Named the school's Team MVP for skiing in 2007...Was an All-American skier in 2007 and was All-State in skiing for 2006...Took 18th place at the Junior Nationals in 2007.

Personal: Son of Steve and Sandy Morris...Majoring in Electrical Engineering.
