Biography

2010-11: Joining the Nanooks in the Spring 2011 Semester, Holt is one of the few distance butterflyers for the Nanooks; she finished her collegiate swimming career strong; at the PCSC Championships in February she helped the Nanooks to their 8th place finish in the 800 Freestyle Relay, swam the butterfly in the 400 Medley Relay that took 5th place, and the 400 Freestyle Relay to its 5th place finish; individually, Holt scored points for the Nanooks in both the 100 and 200 Butterflies, finishing 8th with a time of 58.95 and 7th with a time of 2:09.72, respectively, which aided the Nanooks in their highest ever, 5th place Conference finish; Holts finish in the 200 Butterfly gave her an NCAA Division II B-cut as well as All-Conference recognition.

2009-10: Becker (now Holt) returned this season after taking a year off, filling the void she had left in the butterfly events; at the Toshiba Classic Invitational in November, Holt helped the Nanooks to 18th place finish swimming butterfy in the 200 Medley Relay and a 15th place finish leading off the 800 Freestyle Relay with times of 1:49.78 and 7:53.24 respectively; she was the highest finisher for the Nanooks in both butterfly events at that meet swimming a 59.30 in the 100 Butterfly and a 2:09.31 in the 200 Butterfly; at the PCSC Championships in February Becker continued to aid the Nanooks swimming butterfly on both the 200 Medly Relay that finished 7th with a time of 1:50.36 and the 400 Medley Relay that finished 4th with a time of 3:56.15; individually Becker scored points for the Nanooks in both the 200 Butterfly, finishing 16th, and the 100 Butterfly where she finished 12th with a season best of 58.72.

2007-08: In November at the Nike Cup Invitational, Becker (now Holt) was again the first and only member to qualify for NCAA Division II Nationals by finishing 13th in the 200 Butterfly with a time of 2:06.81, giving her an A-cut; unfortunately, though, Becker was unexpectedly unable to finish the season and was unable to attend.

2006-07:  Becker (now Holt) was the first and only Nanook to qualify and attend the Division II Swimming and Diving National Championships in New York in March; the swim that got her there was a Varsity Record breaking time of 2:05.37 that she swam at the Speedo Cup Invitational in November.

Prior to Alaska: Holt is originally from Tualatin, OR; competed four years with Tualatin HS; was a member of the Tigard-Tualatin Swim Club.

Personal: The summer of 2010, Kelly was married and changed her last name from Becker to Holt; she is majoring in Photo Journalism.
