Summary

Biography

2010-11:  This season Day truly filled the sprint freestyle events in the Nanooks dual meets; at the Husky Invitational in December, she helped the 200 Freestyle and Medley Relays to 15th and 13th place finishes respectively and additionally achieved a personal best in the 50 Freestyle with a 24.96; in February at the PCSC Championships, Day helped the Nanooks to their highest Championship relay finish ever by anchoring the 200 Medley Relay to a second place finish, she helped the Nanooks to their highest Conference ranking, 5th, by scoring points with her 22nd place finish in the 50 Freestyle with a 25.58 and a 24th place finish in the 100 Backstroke with a 1:06.59; was recognized for Academic Honors by the Athletic Department.

2009-10: Day joined the Nanooks at the start of the 2010 Spring Semester; at the PCSC Championships, Day put up fast times with a 25.96 in the 50 Freestyle and a 57.22 in the 100 Freestyle and aided the Nanooks in an 11th place finish in the 200 Freestyle Relay.

Prior to Alaska:  Was a two-time Hammer Award winner in 2007 and 2008 at Lathrop High School; set personal best times in the 50 Freestyle with a 25.58 and in the 100 Freestyle with a 55.50 her junior year; swam a 2:04.30 in the 200 Freestyle her senior year.

Personal:
  Daughter of Herb and Ginger Day; she is currently majoring in Elementary Education.
