2010-11: Finishing up her collegiate career with the Nanooks, Beard shot a 575 in air rifle against Tennessee-Martin Oct. 23; against West Virginia, she shot a 568 in smallbore and a 578 in air rifle; at the NCAA Qualifiers she shot a 570 in smallbore; recognized for Academic Honors by the Athletic Department; earned Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association Academic Team Honors.

2009-10: Shot a 581 in air rifle and a 571 in smallbore against Air Force Nov. 20; shot as an individual against Nebraska, finishing with a 585 in air rifle and a 579 in smallbore; at the NCAA Qualifiers Beard finished with a 576 in smallbore and a 588 in Air Rifle; selected to the GNAC's Academic At-Large Team.

2008-09: Helped Alaska win the air rifle competition against Army on Jan. 21st by shooting a 578; shot a 588 in air rifle to help a 4660-4597 win against UTEP on Sept. 25; shot 577 in Air Rifle and 563 in smallbore against Kentucky on Oct. 24; earned Academic All-American honors.

2007-08: Earned first team All-American honors in Air Rifle in her first season with the Nanooks; member of the National Champion Air Rifle Team, shooting a 578 at the NCAA Rifle Championships in West Point; fired a season-best 590 in win over West Virginia on Jan. 18; finished year with a 569.1 average in smallbore and 585.4 in air gun: third-best on the team; shot season-best 579 in smallbore against Army on Jan. 22.

Prior to Alaska: Member of the National Development Team for international rifle since 2005; placed 3rd overall at the 2005 National Championships; placed 4th overall at the International Rifle Championships of the Americas in 2005; three time Colorado State Smallbore Champion (2004, 2005, & 2006); also competed in kempo karate, roller hockey, and tae kwon doe.

Personal: Daughter of Edmund and Candy Beard; enjoys rock climbing, kempa karate, and roller hockey; was a member of the National Honor Society (2006-2007); currently majoring in Natural Resource Managment.
