Last Time Out
Alaska was down in San Diego, Calif. earlier this week as San Diego State hosted a quad meet with Alaska, SDSU, Fresno State and Loyola Marymount on Monday, Jan. 8. The Nanooks fell to SDSU 157.5-82.5, Fresno State 213-45 and LMU 181-76. They did battle with San Diego State again on Tuesday, Jan. 9 in a pentathlon meet.
Dorka Dancsok took eighth to lead the Nanooks. SDSU defeated Alaska 33-24.

- Charlotte Fletcher-Stables currently sits in seventh in the PCSC for the 50-yard freestyle with a 24.51 - she posted that time at the Logger Invitational in December.
- In the 1650-yard freestyle, Tori Shoemaker and Payton Wojciechowicz sit in first and third in the conference. Shoemaker holds the top spot with a time of 17:38.46 while Wojciechowicz is in third with a 17:50.91.
- Fletcher-Stables sits in second in the 50-yard backstroke, posting a time of 26.67 at the Logger Invitational. She is also in the top-five at number four in the 100-yard backstroke. In the 200, she is fifth in the conference with a 2:09.07. She set that time at the quad meet hosted by SDSU.
- In the 100-yard breaststroke, Dorka Dancsok is seventh in the PCSC with a 1:09.76 - she posted that in the dual meet at SDSU on Tuesday of this week.
- Dancsok is also seventh in the 200-yard breaststroke with a 2:29.89, also posted at SDSU in the quad meet. In the 100-yard IM she is 10th in the conference with a 1:04.22. Fletcher-Stables is just outside of the top-10 at 11th.
- Dancsok leads the conference in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:25.75, a time she posted at the Logger Invitational.
- Naomi Burgan joins Dancsok in the top-10 of the 400 at number eight in the conference. She posted a 4:36.68.
Relay Success
The 200-yard freestyle relay team of
Lainey Lioi,
Charlotte Fletcher-Stables,
Adeline Berry and
Dorka Dancsok is ranked third in the conference with a time of 1:38.49. The 800-yard free relay team of
Naomi Burgan,
Payton Wojciechowicz, Dancsok and Fletcher-Stables currently sits in third in the PCSC with a time of 7:51.26.
In the 400-yard medley relay standings, the Nanooks currently sit in second as a team of Fletcher-Stables, Dancsok, Berry and Lioi posted a time of 3:51.23 at the Logger Invitational.
Westmont
The Nanooks faced Westmont four times a year ago. Twice on the road and twice at home; they split the dual meets with a pair of losses on the road and a pair of home pool wins. These two teams met nearly 365 days ago on Jan. 20-21, 2023. The Nanooks swept the Warriors 118-87 and 113-92. Alaska holds a 6-2 all-time record against their PCSC opponent dating back to their first matchups on March 26-27, 2021.
What's to Come
Following the home meets this weekend, the Nanooks will have one more home weekend next week as Western Colorado comes to the Patty Center Pool. This will be the first-ever matchup with the RMAC school. Following the final weekend of the regular-season, the Nanooks will head to the PCSC Championships Feb. 14-17.
